Verene Energia SA has successfully completed the acquisition of Equatorial Transmissão SA and its subsidiaries, incorporating seven new assets that expand our presence in the energy transmission sector and strengthen our portfolio.
With this transaction, Verene will operate more than 4,100 km of transmission lines, consolidating its position among the eight largest transmission companies in the country. The new assets are strategically located in key regions, contributing to increased system reliability and connecting renewable energy generation areas to major consumption centers.
This milestone reflects our commitment to health and safety, asset quality, and integrity — values that make Verene a trusted leader in the Brazilian electricity sector. We continue to move forward, driven by operational and technical excellence and the dedication of everyone who, every day, helps Verene transmit energy efficiently and sustainably, supporting Brazil's energy transition.
On April 12, 2023, the first VERENE WORKSHOP was held at the Hilton Hotel in Copacabana.
Led by experienced consultant Tarcisio Cardieri, the workshop involved the participation and immersion of all Verene employees, leaders, and CEOs in the journey of building and defining the company's purpose, mission, vision, values, and management principles.
Several activities were carried out to integrate and internalize our organizational culture.
In September, we achieved a significant milestone: All members of the Verene administrative and field team, along with our partners at COTESA, underwent intensive safety training. Safety is our number one priority, and this training was designed to strengthen our ability to assess risks and integrate safety into our business management. Furthermore, we focused on developing the skills necessary to motivate and positively influence the behavior of our team and all stakeholders regarding safety. It was an intense three-day training session in partnership with the DSS+ team.
